Dielektra GmbH Announces Appointment of Mr. Ronald Brett as Managing Director

Anaheim, California, January 31, 2000…Park / Nelco (NYSE-PKE) announced the appointment of Mary Wathen to President of Nelco Technology, Inc., located in Tempe, AZ. The Nelco Technology operation specializes in the manufacture of mass lamination and semi-finished multilayers for the PCB industry.

Cologne, Germany, February 10th, 2000… Dielektra GmbH announced the appointment of Mr. Ronald Brett as the new managing director of the company effective March 1, 2000, the beginning of the company’s new fiscal year. Dielektra GmbH is a subsidiary of Park Electrochemical Corp. of Lake Success, New York, a public company listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE-PKE). Mr. Brett has been Director of Operations for Dielektra’s sister company, New England Laminates (U.K.) Limited, located in Skelmersdale, England since 1995. New England Laminates (U.K) Limited is also a subsidiary of Park Electrochemical Corp.

Mr. Brett, who is fluent in German and has worked extensively in Germany, received a BSc (Honors) degree in Chemistry from Southhampton University in 1969. Mr. Brett held several technical and management positions of increasing responsibility for the Ever Ready Company and the Varta Company in Germany, Singapore and the U.K. prior to joining New England Laminates (U.K.) Limited in 1995.

The company also announced that Mr. Dieter G. Weiss, the company’s current managing director, will no longer serve in that capacity effective February 29, 2000, the end of the company’s current fiscal year. Mr. Weiss, who was elected as Vice President of Dielektra’s parent company, Park Electrochemical Corp., in May of 1999, will continue to serve in that capacity and will perform certain technical, strategic and management functions for Park Electrochemical.
